Pink T-Shirt Walk

“Walk Around The World For Breast Cancer”

Fundraising on behalf of  “Walk Around The World For Breast Cancer” and

Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer, Loja

18th October, 12:00 am, Café Continental

                    Carol Rogers

There will be full information at the meeting and you will be able to order your Pink T-Shirt from Carol at the meeting on Tuesday. Please support a very good cause and help to publicise and educate everyone about cancer.

If you can’t make the walk and entertainment at the Café Continental, AECC will be carrying out a collection in and about Loja on Monday 19th to enable you to make your donation.

AECC Calendars

AECC calendars will be available shortly. They cover an eighteen-month period and are pictures of women who have experienced cancer. The calendars are beautifully produced (in the style of the WI Calendar Girls) and send a positive message. The calendars come in two versions - desk and large wall. We will be taking orders at the October meeting. Each cost 5 euros, all of which goes to AECC.

Result of Coffee Mornings

Grateful thanks to all those who attended the series of coffee mornings held at Fuentes del Cesnar, Cuesta Blanca and Moraleda. Together, with various other donations from individuals, the sum raised was in the order of 1000 euros. We are waiting for final figures and will let you know in the next newsletter.

We would like to thank all of the volunteers for their hard work, also to those who generously donated cakes and raffle prizes.

In addition to the coffee mornings members of the Moraleda community also raised the sum of 100 euros from a Quiz Night. Many thanks to those who contributed.
